Tomato
Trendlife® series Modified Atmosphere Packages (MAP) have been developed to solve problems encountered in tomato storage and export. Tomato, as a climacteric fruit, continues to ripen after harvest and controlling this process is critical for shelf life.
14-21 days at 10-12°C
5-7 days at 20°C

What Does Trendlife® Provide?
Red color and shine are preserved.
Ripening rate is controlled.
Firmness and texture are maintained.
Flavor and aroma are preserved.
Risk of decay and mold is reduced.
Trendlife® Effect Mechanism
Trendlife® protects your tomato products using 3 different effect mechanisms simultaneously.
Slows ethylene production and ripening by creating a low oxygen and high carbon dioxide environment.
Prevents water loss and shriveling by maintaining humidity at 90-95% inside the package.
Protects the product by preventing the growth of pathogens such as Botrytis, Alternaria and Rhizopus with its antimicrobial properties.
General Preservation Features
Trendlife® Modified Atmosphere Packages (MAP) first effect on tomato physiology is achieved by affecting fruit metabolism during storage and reducing respiration intensity and ethylene production.
Tomato is a cold-sensitive product. Chilling injury (internal browning, flavor loss) may occur below 10°C. Storage at 10-12°C is recommended.
When appropriate conditions are provided with Trendlife® MAP, the shelf life of tomato is significantly extended and quality is preserved during export processes.
